For many years I've been happily using Microsoft's SyncToy for backups from my Windows PC to a NAS. It has a nice simple interface based around "folder pairs", and does an incremental copy of the the files that have changed since the last run.

I've now migrated to a new desktop running Windows 11. As part of that exercise I've discovered that SyncToy has not been supported for quite some time, requires a very old version of .Net runtime, and (the deciding factor) now hiccups when trying to access my photo archive.

So, it's probably time to switch to something else. Can anybody recommend a good SyncToy alternative for Windows 11?

Thanks,
Barry.
