After many presentations, lots of discussions and one survey the fediverse site u3a.social is now up and running !

• Is open to u3a (and friends) members
• Is running frendica 2024.12
• Supports ActivityPub, OStatus, Diaspora, RSS/Atom feeds and AT protocols .. so plenty of ways to connect
• Only a single server, but with nightly 3-2-1 backups
• See u3a-social for the original idea, and u3a-social-update for the update
• For any queries email admin@u3a.social
• My personal fediverse account is plord@u3a.social and bluesky is @plord.u3a.social
• A group created for U3ACommunities computing group at u3acommunitiescomputing@u3a.social ... to request to join just follow the group
• Still a new site and I'm sure will need tweaking
• I'll start planning a talk about how to use this stuff soon

Feel free to request your own account on the server or simply follow directly.
