Fun & games with email hosting

I have some strong feelings on this. BT seem to be the worst at refusing/discarding incoming emails without notice. I still get reports from people with btinternet addresses saying that they only saw my message because someone else replied to it. BT just threw the original into a black hole - not bounced back to me, not put into a "spam" folder, just discarded. If I were a BT customer I'd be pretty mad about this! Cutting down on spam is a fine goal - but any false positive is an issue - even more so if I'm not told about it. 🤬

No.

smtp2go is a SMTP service (smtp2go.com/) ... there are others available. So if your email server failed to deliver, get it to re-try via smtp2go (smtp2go is more likely to be trusted by btinternet).

The free plan is likely to be enough for the few troublesome emails.

BTW, just annouced my next #u3acommunities talk in this subject ! See u3acommunities.org/event/email…
