I know prior to the UK BS 3-pin plug standard there were many different sorts of mains plugs available. Although yours doesn't seem to be one of them ( plugsocketmuseum.nl/British-pl… ).
I don't know, sorry. Gemini suggests it's made by Bulgin but I've never seen one of theirs like that before. It's called a shrouded plug, meaning the plug is recessed into a protective shroud. This was done to protect the user from accidentally touching the live pins. These days sockets are live, not plugs.
