This summer, join BAFTA-nominated, BIFA-winning screenwriter and best-selling novelist, Emma Jane Unsworth and us for ALSO’s Big Summer Read! 📚
We’ll be taking a tour of Emma’s brilliant novel SLAGS - one of Vogue’s Books of the Summer, one of The Guardian’s Novels of the Year, and the paperback was picked for WH Smith’s Travel Book Club in January 2026 - a love letter to the 90s, a deep dive into boyband obsession, and a whisky-fuelled road trip that goes wrong for two messy sisters approaching midlife.
Come along and be part of it. And of course, there will be plenty of time for (fun) questions.

ALSO takes place in a uniquely beautiful place: on the bank of a lake designed by the legendary Capability Brown, where every curve of the land is crafted for beauty, heritage, and awe. ✨🌿
Designed to invoke thoughts of Arcadia, heaven on earth, there are moments programmed into this landscape where you stop to feel the wonder. It’s a magical place..
Wander, swim, dance, or simply pause because, here at ALSO, the site itself is part of the experience, creating the potential for an extraordinary weekend unlike anything you’ll experience anywhere else.

Did you see? 2026 sees the wheel turned to Oh Fortuna!, where we’ll playfully explore luck, chance and encounters that ask how much of our fortune is already written and how much we get to make ourselves.
With 13 ways to experience the theme, you might spend the day immersed in big ideas, wander through a forest installation inspired by Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fate, then find yourself dancing under the stars by night.
Spin the wheel. Take a chance . . . Fortune favours the bold.

Exciting announcement from our beloved Compass Presents crew…
From the velvety red womb of old, something entirely new emerges for 2026. A bold new presence on the Shambala landscape: a towering Spiegeltent, shimmering with spectacle.
Expect kids' cabaret and family rave-ups, aerial circus swooping overhead, and genre-smashing bands & DJs, all delivered with a distinctly theatrical, unmistakably silly, Compassy twist. See you in the surround! x
