Talks, double talks, panels, Q&As, walks, signings, pop-ups, and the occasional “what just happened?” moment - the Ideas programme is the blood in ALSO’s veins.
ALSO25 saw the incredible Camilla Pang, Gina Rippon, Jamie Tahsin, Margaret Heffernan, Natalie Haynes, Adam Kucharski, Mike Berners-Lee, Claudia Hammond, Vanessa Kisuule, Kit de Waal (to name but a few) take us deep into our LOVE AND HORROR theme. And we’re still not over it.

💛 🇯🇲 Build Back Jamaica - Hurricane Melissa Fundraiser 🇯🇲 💛
We’re joining some other amazing Bristol organisations donating prizes for a raffle raising funds for Montego Bay Hospital and local schools in Jamaica.
The fundraiser event is taking place this Friday 7th November at Lost Horizon, Bristol, with music, food and good vibes.
With the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa across multiple Caribbean nations it’s an important time to stand up for and support the communities that have inspired us so much with their music, culture and spirit. We believe this is a matter of climate justice.
If you can buy a ticket for the raffle or attend the event please do!👇

Wondering where to find one of the “hidden gems” of Glastonbury Festival?
Our worst kept secret is finally out! 😉
This unnamed part of the map on the app is the Tipi Field!
We’re located near the top of the hill, when you walk uphill through the centre of the Tipi Field we will be on your right.
We hope to see you there! 💙

Applications for Enchanted Woods Creative Projects are now open! 🌲✨
We are looking for beautiful and unique installations to light up Shambala’s Enchanted Woods, as well as curiosities that will delight, amaze and entertain our festival goers. Our Enchanted Woods team are particularly keen to support new and emerging artists in these areas.
While there are no hard and fast rules to Enchanted Woods art, installations that have worked well in the past have been accessible, weatherproof, interactive and multisensory, sustainable or recycled and suitable for day and night.

Lights, Camera, Action... Strut! The 2025 Aftermovie is here! 🎬
Every year, our trusty video crew distils the wild, utopian spirit of Shambala into a few short minutes - and once again, they’ve absolutely smashed it.
This one's full to bursting with costumes, crafts, crowdsurfing and carnival chaos, all cut to the butt-wiggling sounds of Solasta stage faves, Thumpasaurus.
So, gather your mates, crank up the volume and see if you can spot yourselves struttin’ your stuff!
