Applications are now OPEN for ALSO Festival’s Future Music: Pathway to Success programme, supported by Arts Council England 🎉
This year, the programme has evolved into an 18-month structured development programme, building on our previous iteration to provide a clear, supported pathway from emerging talent to industry-ready professionals, through creative, professional and industry-focused progression.
Our early-career development programme 'ALSO Future Music’ targets a diverse range of early-career artists looking to build experience. It offers development workshops with industry professionals, marketing and promotion, help adapting performance for outdoor events and performing to a festival audience and a networking event in festival.
The project also encompasses a 'Women in Sound' initiative nurturing early-career technicians with a skills-based workshop run by an industry professional and paid shifts at ALSO26 and ALSO27.
The programme counters the shrinking opportunities available in the sector and will support 6 grassroots artists and 4 technicians with paid opportunities over 18-months, with key activity taking place in-festival at ALSO 2026 and ALSO27.
Eligibility:
✨ Applicants to both programmes must be available for the full ALSO Festival weekends in Warwickshire over the 10 - 12th July 2026 weekend and the ALSO27 weekend: 16 - 18th July 2027
✨ For the 'ALSO Future Music' programme, we welcome applications from UK-based grassroots and early-career bands, duos and solo artists who are over the age of 18.
✨ For the ‘Women in Sound’ initiative, ALSO welcomes UK-based applicants with a basic understanding of sound tech who are available for the weekend 13/14th June 2026.
✨ Applications close Sunday 24th May 2026 at 23:59.
